The Brief: A funky hot sauce brand that aims to become a dinner party staple.

The Concept: Locally made and experimental hot sauce flavours have become a niche interest in the Melbourne foodie scene. However, Hot Sauce has been enjoyed for centuries, first created by the Aztecs. I wanted to create a brand design that is trendy and unique, highlighting the historical context of hot sauce and the idea of food bringing people together. Fire Starter is an organic and locally made hot sauce brand with three flavour variations. Each design features a deadly animal that is native to Central America. The brand features a disco-inspired, maximalist imagery to emphasise that good food really can start the party! Inside the boxes, is a folded sheet that features a disco-themed dinner party playlist that unfolds into a poster.
